A note from Michael, the creator
Thank you everyone for all this support! Due to the popularity I know that the hosted images are suffering a little. Hopefully they will be back up soon, but due to legal reasons I cannot host them myself. If you click on the broken image it should load on the native site.
I am a little worried, however, that the popularity of this search engine will ultimately be it's demise if Andrew McMeel Universal (who owns the rights to Calvin & Hobbes) threatens legal action against me. Hopefully I can put ads for the books in the search results, allowing people to buy the books and it will be win-win for everyone, but I can only do that if AMU agrees to it. In that case I may even be able to host the images locally and prevent traffic from crashing them again in the future.
Update: Someone at AMU got in touch with me; a C&D was headed my way, but they seem open to finding a better solution, which is AWESOME. You may see some changes here in the next few days/week, but hopefully it will be in the best interest of everyone!
Otherwise, I just ask everyone to see the credits at the bottoms of these pages, as I don't deserve all the credit myself, especially with regards to image hosting. Thanks again for the support!

I have always been a big fan of Calvin & Hobbes comics, and their author, Bill Watterson. Since discovering the complete script online, as well as a collection of every daily strip on another website, I knew I could make the two reference each other and therefore create a "Calvin & Hobbes Search Engine" for lack of a better name. So I set out to do it.
Currently the search only looks for EXACT phrases (not case sensitive), so if you're looking for a comic with the words "balloon" and "airplane" you cannot enter them both, or it will search for "balloon airplane" together. Perhaps in the future I will fix this, but it's actually a lot more difficult than leaving it as-is.
There is one exception though! You can search for a DATE and it will find that specific comic, though it MUST be of the format MM/DD/YYYY. So 09/01/1986 will work, but "Sept 1st '86" and "9/1/86" wont - yet. All date formats work now!
